Can I (with Java Edition) for example create a server on Aternos and play with someone with Bedrock Edition on the server?

If it works, how?

It all depends on the server you are playing on.

No, unfortunately that is not possible because Java and Bedrock are not compatible with each other.

Even with Aternos you can only set Java or Bedrock.

No. Java and Bedrock are two different programming languages
