Anything about Minecraft?

I died in Minecraft. And my things are pretty far away (about 9k blocks away). The question is: Do things disappear or not, since I heard that everything that is not loaded in the game's chunk does not load anything outside of the chunk (a time freeze or so, so to speak) and items take some time to disappear. Could I still try to get her?

So as long as the server does not have an item clear plugin and the server does not go offline, things will stay there forever until someone else picks them up or the server is shut down / restarted

As soon as you are 8Chunks away the items will spawn after 6000Ticks (5min)
