How many mb rams do i need for a good mc server?

I planned to book a mc server on Nitrado for 1 year. For 4 players and 1024 mb Ram I have to pay ~ 300 dkr (~ 40 euro). I want my own. Just a normal, private mc server for survival minecraft. Are 1024 mb ram enough for it or would that be laggy?
