Which Minecraft version would you recommend?

I bought the game Minecraft. But now I see that you can choose between different versions. Which of them would you recommend for the mode: Survival?

Yes, but I heard that this version is very complicated.

Everything is normal except the Nether is 1.16 new. But that's a good thing because it just got a lot better.

Just the newest version, I don't see any reason to use an old version unless you want to play some mod pack.

What should be complicated about it? For a gamer it is a version like any other, only for server operators things look a little different and for programmers.
