Minecraft crashes at 1.8.9?

I'm a PVP guy and would like to play version 1.8.9 again, but it doesn't work because it keeps crashing. 1.16.5, 1.14.4 and so on, but 1.8 or 1.8.9 doesn't. I have currently installed the latest graphics driver but nothing helps, not even my friend who knows his way around could help me?
