A normal skat game, or a Rummy sheet. With both you can play many different games - so you do not need fancy specials.
Rummy is too heavy for 7-8 year olds. Do not know "Skat" - is that something like that?
It's all about the card games - one is just a skate hand - 32 cards, you can play Mau Mau, 66, swimming and anything else.
A Rummy sheet has 110 cards - including the normal skate cards - because you can play more than just rummy - even games that children understand.
