Should I report the neighbor because of weird radio station operation?

So I found a very strange radio station on VHF radio, where from late evening until afternoon only funny no-copyright songs are played, and in the afternoon you can hear GommeHD videos or other YouTube videos on the radio. Sometimes you hear on the radio like a Minecraft Zockt: (So dismantle blocks, go, etc…). And what's still very strange about it is that I can't receive these radio stations everywhere, only when I'm at home. And what I noticed, the closer I get to the neighbor's house, the better the reception I get on this strange radio station. So I have the impression that a neighbor is running strange radio stations.

But he did not broadcast illegal copyright music, instead either NoCopyright songs are broadcast or what the neighbor is currently doing on the computer. So in practical terms, I can hear what he hears on his computer on the radio.

Do you think he still operates illegal channels, and why does he even do it?

Maybe he's doing this to transfer sound from his pc to an older radio. Or similar.

If you don't like your neighbor you can of course do that (maybe also with the https://www.bundesnetzagentur.de/DE/Vportal/TK/Funktechnik/Stoerung/start.html), if it bothers you you can talk to him about it.

Coincidentally, I recently found out about it. Whether it is possible to use the Internet via a power cable. So that you don't have to lay annoying cables or use adapters everywhere.

I came across videos on YouTube that explain. That with this type of transmission it can lead to everything metal becoming an antenna.

So I wouldn't be so sure about the radio station. Just talk to your neighbor. Or at least listen properly. Whether he's really running a video on the radio. Which makes little sense. ARSM or not.

In short, that's legal. This can be an FM transmitter. It may be that your neighbor in the workshop or something where he has no PC is listening to music from the PC over the FM radio. Such devices are integrated in the mobile phone or as an MP player for the cigarette lighter. But also as a USB stick or as an electronics kit from Conrad. If your radio is cheap or you have a cable connection, you may be able to receive it. It's like the FM radio that's in the kitchen. In the basement, the cable amplifier hangs right below. The radio receives all FM stations fed into the cable network. Approximately 25 transmitters completely normal via antenna. You notice it at the latest when known stations are on the same frequency as the FM tuner in the Wozi, which is connected to the cable socket.

There can be very interesting effects.

I don't know a cell phone that has something integrated.

The transmission power of devices that are approved in Germany must be below 50nW, so that should not be received by the neighbors. That's enough for a meter or two at most.

Nokia N8 e.g. B. And it's legal! It is just not legal if you operate a station with the intention of reaching others. I don't see your neighbor's resolution. The transmission power of such devices is limited to such an extent that it is permissible.

Br

The transmission power must be limited to 50nW. 50nW is never enough to get to the neighbor through a wall.

50nW (as in the nokia or any device approved in DE) is sufficient for a meter or two.

I suspect the neighbor has a small transmitter with low power. These have been around for a number of years. These are compact and have a short range. There are special mail order catalogs that offer such devices. The purchase is not punishable. Use only.

The network agency is responsible. This has the option of determining the transmission power using radio test vehicles. If the transmission power is very low, it can happen that no investigation into a minor matter takes place. So we're in a gray area.

If you can prove that your neighbor interferes with your electrical appliances with his emissions, then you have a handle. The fact that the illegal station appears in a frequency range where it does not disturb anyone is no reason to take action.

I would like to remind you that the semi-legal stations (Radio Victoria, Radio 101, Radio Marabu, Radio Limit International) only broadcast in the eighties because the music played could not be heard anywhere else. Today the titles that are played have to meet the requirements of GfK. Alternative styles of music hardly have a chance of being played on private radio. Roger Kirk (formerly Radio Victoria) wanted to start a night program for truck drivers with alternative titles at private stations. He got nowhere to train.

Everything that goes over the cable are digitally coded signals, nothing that can be received and understood on the radio. At most, noise.

I think we have successfully passed the period of blackening for enemy broadcasters in the FRG for 75 years, in the GDR for 30 years. Furthermore, I would exchange a few extremely clear words with the neighbor, who unjustifiably denigrates me to the authorities without having spoken to me beforehand, and reserve the right to do the same if the other side also does things that are "worth denying".

In other words: With this you can start a dispute relatively quickly and wait for you to get a return coach. Reporting someone and possibly putting them on record is anything but fun. There are computers in the offices that are not part of the general network and on which personal data, including such processes, are documented. You will notice this at the latest when you take a job in which you are subjected to a security check: Then you have to state all previous places of residence so that inquiries can be made locally whether you are known by name because of any incidents. Such inquiries are made, for example, by the atomic authority or the MAD; and if they find entries there, it will be decided whether you are trustworthy enough or not. If not, you may not be able to get a job. Or, to put it another way: With such childishness, you can create lasting disadvantages for someone, who in turn require a lengthy lawyer engagement to get it clean again. Think about it before you rashly undertake such grandiose actions here.

OK good to know.
