I have the msi gl63 8sd gaming notebook.
The notebook has a gtx 1660ti and an i7-8750H with 16 gb ram.
However, if I want to play minecraft, I don't even get to 60 fps and with my x516 pixel texture pack just between 30 and 40 fps.
Shouldn't I normally easily get over 60 fps?
Oh yes, and the fans are also running at MINECRAFT. I do not understand that.
What do you all mean?
This may also be because you may not have activated the graphics card. You could also deactivate V-sync in the MC graphics settings. The V-sync ensures that the game always stays at a smooth 60 fps. I thought so too and I have a much worse PC than you and still manage with shader 120 fps and without 400.
You plug in the power supply first, so that the full performance is activated (laptop is usually clocked down when running on battery power or you go to the bottom of the taskbar on the battery and set the controller to the best performance in energy status).
In your application, then right-click → Execute with graphics processor → Nvidia high-performance processor
If this is not displayed, go to the desktop → right-click → NVIDIA Control Panel → in the tab on "Desktop" → "Run with graphics processor" in the context menu
Otherwise, the game runs on the internal GPU of the Intel processor.
I actually always plugged in the power adapter.
I'll try the other one.
Thanks i will try.
GrsKa should be active.
I had the same thing with my gaming notebook. First I had 50-80 FPS with Vanilla and then 500-600 FPS.
It is now a well-known problem with overheating these gaming books at competitive prices and at the same time as compact dimensions as possible with the lowest possible weight.
A real DTR (desktop replacement) does not go in 14 to 15 inches and only 2 - 3 cm thick + at the same time quiet & cool.
I believe that Intel & Nvidia have made tremendous progress in power efficiency in the last 4 to 5 years, but> 100 watts of thermal energy for the current performance hardware still want to be voluminous, material-intensive, complex and volatile.
That is why even gaming books in the compact 15 "class with an Intel Core i5-8xxx / 9xxx + Geforce GTX 1050Ti / 1650 overheat quite quickly in tests under extended load.
It is not for nothing that such books rockstable perform should at least correspond to the 17 "format, be> 4-5 cm thick and really not exactly light.
Then there's naturally no 1 in the first place of the four-digit purchase price, or three-digit not at all. ( New )
In a current 14 to 15 inch book with a height of 2-3 cm and a weight of up to 2.5 to 3 kilos, more than 40 to 50 watts of thermal heat dissipation (for all components in total) are almost impossible to achieve yesterday as today under permanent load.
As far as realist you have to stay.
Incidentally, Minecraft is and remains programming technology - resource-related in terms of efficiency; especially in combination with mods + texture packs. Forced this game around 2012 a really brisk combination of Intel Core i5-2600K (OC @ 4.0 Ghz + Radeon HD 7970 + 8 GB RAM) with the SEUS-Mod + Shader + texture pack in 1080p clearly below 60 FPS in the knees.
On the CPU side alone, your modern book would not come along if your i7-8750H had to crumble around 2 Ghz due to the temperature. The MC programming level is so grotty-inefficient if you overload it with the "wrong" mods, shaders and texture packs. 🤔
Then it is hard for a long time.
Which "Zephyrus" do you mean besides exactly?
Because my statement "Row failure" does not say "All books failed".
Think about… 🤔
That was the problem. Then I noticed how I saw intel uhd graphics in the f3 menu. Strangely, Intel's high-performance processor is standard, but it still starts with the apu.
Anyway, many thanks for your answer.
