Gimp doesn't export transparently?

Hi! I want to create a Minecraft texture pack myself. The inventory (or the crafting bench) should be slightly transparent, but Gimp refuses to export it. When I export the file, the otherwise slightly black background is completely black. Alpha channel exists.

Are you exporting it as a .PNG?

Yes.

Also in 32 bits per pixel? Otherwise the alpha channel is missing.

You'll need to save it as a PNG.

Try Paint.net. Is basically the counterpart to Gimp.

With paint.net it works wonderfully. But I've never done anything for Miinecraft.

Unfortunately, the TGA format does not work either.

PNG is always displayed with a black background if the GIF format is not supported. Transparent is only GIF. Unfortunately, I have made the experience many times and have not yet found a solution.
