I heard about the deep slate on the Minecraft Wiki, a quarry stone variant. But there it says:
Generation:
Deep shale makes up a lot of the solid

https://minecraft-de.gamepedia.com/....com/Stein.
But since there's void under y = 0, I ask myself whether maybe. The coordinate system was changed. (1.17)
It then goes from y to -64
Does that mean y = 0 is the new sea level?
Yes
Yes that will be the case. The 1.17 update will, among other things, be a cave update. This will also lower the Bedrock further. Then Y goes to -64 and you can build yourself below level 0. You can already find this in the snapshot versions.
In order to be able to play a snapshot version, you only have to tick the box next to "Show developer versions" in the Minecraft Launcher in the top right corner of the installations. Then you press play, create a new world and you can already find deep slate and much more.
Sure, thank you.
Can you find more ores under y = 0 or something? Or do more monsters spawn there?
At y = 0 there will be the same ores as above, with one difference. The ores are darker in texture and are each called deep-shale iron ore, deep-shale gold ore etc. However, these bring dior exactly the same as the ores above level 0. There will be crystals called "catalysts". You can find these by chance in hollow spheres in the earth. Additionally there will be a new monster, which is probably stronger than any other. In an official Minecraft clip, he pulls 6 hearts off a player with Full Netherite in one fell swoop. However, the Mosnter is blind and therefore only reacts to noise. So if you're lucky, you can sneak past him. A new biome should also be added, but this is not known or not yet in a snapshot version. You can take a look at all of these things in more detail on the Minecraft site in the patch notes.

That's not true. Under y = 0 there's no coal and more slides and redstone etc.
OK. I did not knew that. I could even swear I've seen coal before, so below 0. Anyway.
That will only be changed in 1.17
