Minecraft Map inserted into the game but no functions appear?

I have downloaded a Minecraft map, inserted it correctly and I can even play the map (I have put everything on the right versions). However, if I have a horror map, for example, I get no reactions.

e.g. In the chat here you get a carrot, it also appears a sound, but I do not get it. So I can't continue playing.

If someone can help me, I'm open xD

Did you also download a map, which is the right Minecraft version, what the server is running on? If not, we have already found the mistake here. If everything is alright, speculate on the following points:

Are the items issued via a command block that may be broken?
Is a plugin that is needed not on the server?

If all this is not the case, please write to the developer of the map, if you have a contact option.

So that was not it, I uninstalled and reinstalled Minecraft yesterday, now it works strangely.
