A few days ago we created a Minecraft server on Nitrado and started with Vanilla Minecraft, but now we want to play with some plugins and switch the server to a Bukkit version.
However, every time I try, the world is different. So the map of the Minecraft Vanilla version is not adopted in the Bukkit version.
I have also tried using FileZilla to download the map, switch the server and then reinsert the map, but it just doesn't work, the map is always a different map from the Bukkit version.
So maybe someone is familiar with it and knows how to change the version without losing the map?
I'm grateful for any help because I really don't know what else I could try. Thank you!
I would have some ideas on what to do!
1) Check if the Minecraft version is the same for both.
2) Then try to remove only the level.dat file from the world folder and insert it in the other. Maybe other things are stored in a bukkit world that your normal Minecraft world doesn't have. Then Bukkit can't load it and the world crashes.
3) Maybe YouTube videos will help you? I found this quickly:
Thank you, I've also looked for videos.
The only problem is that most of them are a few years old and the Nitrado website has changed so much that I can't really keep up with the videos
The version is both 1.15.2, so it won't be because of that. Can something happen if you remove the level.dat file from the folder?
With Nitrado, you can have multiple games / versions installed at the same time, but you can only run one of them. A separate folder is created for each version of Minecraft, which you can access via Filezilla.
So the level.dat file is almost the whole world with all the trimmings. The other one is just different stuff, and if you take a look, this file takes up the most memory by far. If you generally copy a file, nothing can usually happen.
And how do I get the world from one version to the other?
Well, you have to copy the world files and paste them into the folder of the Bukkit version
