I got Minecraft yesterday (I know, a little late but I didn't have a PC before) but in the Java edition. I didn't know what the difference between Java edition and Windows 10 is. However, ray tracing can only be used in the Windows 10 edition, then someone told me that the Java edition can be converted to the Windows 10 version. Is that true and if so how is it going?
Since the Java edition is the Windows exclusive edition, the bedrock edition is basically for multiple platforms such as ps4 Xbox etc. Converting is not possible
You made the right decision between the editions.
Ray tracing is not the most important. You can install shaders that look similar.
There are so many advantages in the Java Edition compared to the Bedrock Edition.
The Java Edition is the Windows exclusive edition
Interesting, what do my friends play then? (MacOS users)
Yes, I mean for the pc
Converting is not possible. The two versions are like two different games (you can also swap e.g. Beyond: Two Souls with Heavy Rain…)
Do you even have a graphics card that supports ray tracing?
Because if you don't have it, the Java Edition is the better choice anyway, because it offers more advantages anyway
Much better.
