Minecraft Item portioner?

So I have in the 1.14 ne Kelpfarm and would like that if 20 kelp would be gekarmt that they get into an oven, as a dried kelp block melts 20 items. There's the question: Does anyone know a tutorial? If so send in.

So, algae can grow up to 26 blocks high. Then make the algae so deep into the water that they can grow 20 blocks high. Then to the 20th block (elevation) of the algae Observer, which then sends a signal to a piston below (on the 2nd block of the alga) and the algae are mown.

Give it a try, it just threw it in your head, but it should sparkle. It's best to tunnel around the Redstone so it does not touch the water

Yes, did you even read the question? I do NOT want to know how to grow kelp automatically, but how to always bring the already groomed kelp into an oven in increments of 20.

You could run the algae through a counter that issues the access funnel on the 20th with a Redstone torch. But I also like the idea of @PauliLP.
