I still have an old Minecraft Mojang account that I would like to use again. However, I probably had to switch it to a Microsoft account at the beginning of 2021. Is that still possible? Or was there some kind of deadline for the change?!
As far as I know, the migration has not even started yet.
Ohh okay. Can you then maybe help me how I can change it? Unfortunately, I can no longer install the game without buying it (again).
If you had a Mojang account, you got a free key for the Windows 10 version. You don't have to change anything, Mojang accounts will continue to be supported and there are no plans to change that.
You just have to note that the Windows 10 version (Bedrock) and Mojang (Java) are not compatible with each other
Thanks for your answer. Can you maybe explain the steps I have to take to be able to play Minecraft with this account again?
Do you still have the login details for your Mojang account? If so, you can log in to the Minecraft website and download Minecraft there
Yes, Microsoft wants to migrate the Mojang accounts to Microsoft accounts.
There's also a corresponding FAQ on the Minecraft homepage
Did I just do it and when I log into the launcher it says "play demo"?
Did you also log into the launcher?
Yep, with my account credentials.
Which error messages come? Did you buy the game before 2020 You can always download it. After downloading, click on minecraft.exe and run it. Log into the launcher with your email and password.
Ask Microsoft
I bought the account in 2015. Now I wanted to play with it again, but when I log into minecraft on the website, the data does exist, but it shows it as if I don't own Minecraft and I have to buy it again. Yesterday I just downloaded the game again anyway and logged in with my access data, but then I can only play the demo.
Have you had a different launcher in the meantime or played with alts?
