The partnership with Microsoft only needs if you want to offer the maps in the Microsoft Marketplace. So for the consoles and Windows 10 Edition of Minecraft. Then the maps come in the store and everyone can buy them.
What you are looking for does not require a Microsoft partnership. And you can of course also give the buyer the whole map. A schematic would be unusable anyway from a certain size anyway.
