Programs load infinitely?

For two days, my gaming PC has simply stopped charging for certain applications, although it worked again yesterday evening, but no longer works properly this morning.

I open the browser (Opera GX, but Microsoft Edge doesn't work either). The speed dial works perfectly. However, as soon as I go e.g. On YouTube, the page doesn't load completely. Title and borders are displayed, but thumbnails only in the top row and only halfway. When I click on a video, the website tries to load, but only shows a gray image (dark mode). Other websites behave the same way, the search works.

Microsoft Teams: I restarted the PC a couple of times. With some restarts, Teams is in German, with some in English… And when I click on "Participate in the meeting", either a gray picture (dark mode) appears or I come into the meeting, but with a still picture.

The Minecraft Launcher starts, but loads for a long time. If I then start the game and select a world, the "loading bar" fills up to 100% and nothing reacts afterwards (so I'm forced to restart).

Minecraft Win 10 (Pocket Edition) does not start at all.

Discord is only a gray picture, WhatsApp Web does not load profile pictures and no messages except for the last 2.

I'm not online on Steam, I'm kicked out of online games.

Other games work. (Offline, except Minecraft Java and PE)

Information about my PC:

AMD Ryzen 5 2600

Gigabyte AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT 8GB OC

16GB Gskill Aegis RAM

MSI B450M PRO VDH Max

Quiet power supply

1x SSD, 1x HDD

Windows 10 Pro, updates current

PC in use for about 1½ years.

Windows was reinstalled a week ago due to a Windows update problem.

Apart from Windows Defender, there are no antivirus programs that could possibly block programs.

I'm relatively desperate because I have no idea what to do. I hope for an early answer,

Daniel Jurk

First we have to define infinitely.

what is infinite for you

Sh

Do you have the opportunity to test the whole thing over a different network connection? WLAN adapter or another network card?

Ta

Virus or lan cable broken

Ma

It just loads without a purpose, it loads and loads until I close the program…

Sh

Probably the opposite, so finally. Just longer than usual.

Ma

Unfortunately, I neither have a network card nor is my mainboard Wi-Fi capable.

Ma

@ZaoDaDong No until I close the program.

Ta

Maybe it's a virus

Lo

Unnecessary

Ma

I've already scanned everything but didn't show anything.

Sh

Do you also have problems with offline applications? So if you disconnect the ethernet connection and then e.g. Playing Minecraft offline or using another application?

Ma

No, if I start it offline then everything is fine.

Sh

It is obvious that you have a problem with your network adapter, the cable connection itself (cable defect?) Or the network interface you use to access the Internet (router / switch).
You would now have to approach the solution by checking the respective components and ruling out / confirming a defect accordingly.
If other devices in your network have the same problem, it could also be a connection problem with your Internet provider.

Ma

So the Wi-Fi connections of the other laptop and my smartphone are fine, but I'll try to connect the LAN cable to the laptop to test it.

Ma

I have now also connected the LAN cable to the laptop, which has the same problem.

The problem also occurs with another LAN cable (supplied with the router), but not with the link cable (blue cable through the LAN port, supplied with the router).

Then that must be a problem with the router itself, right? What can I do to solve the problem?

Sh

Have you restarted the router before? Turn off the power for 10 seconds, then plug it in again.

Sh

If this happens frequently, then you should consider replacing the router.
