Hamachi server doesn't really work?

Me and a friend wanted to play Minecraft together and then we downloaded Hamachi etc. And also created a world. He couldn't load the chunks on my world and a little later he flew from the world. Then he made a world, I went to the world the chunks didn't load again and I flew from the world. It is also strange that the server interface closes automatically after a few minutes.

I ask for help or is there a better alternative for Hamachi?
