My best friend and I have created a server version 1.14.4 on the website aternos.org and have played there for quite a long time, but so far we have not seen a single squid let alone fish.

This can happen if the map is generated on another version. It can also be a bug. The cuttlefish are not so common. I do not know how long you have been looking for. You can either try to generate a new map or look at Aternos, if you can also upload a map and generate it in your client.
