I want to get Minecraft Start Collection on my PC. What is the difference to the Master Collection? What does "1 world" mean? Can you only save one world?
Well different worlds are used to e.g. To divide a lobby, a farm world and a building world.
(a world consists of an overworld map with Nether and End)
Why are you getting the Starter Collection and not the Java Edition?
No, that's not what it means.
What is meant by this are ready-made maps from the store. There are many different maps built by other users (cities, islands, etc.) which you can buy in the store, in which you can then play.
"1 world" or "6 worlds" simply means that you can choose 1 or 6 such pre-made worlds in the store.
You can create any number of your own worlds.
Yes, the Java edition is better.
Thanks that's the only real question.
On the PC you should ALWAYS prefer the Java version. It is the much better overall package.
Only when you really need the Bedrock version because of friends should you take it from the Windows Store, although I was only able to see again yesterday that this PlayAnywhere is very buggy in Minecraft.
Better get the Java Edition of Minecraft.
Maybe he wants to play Minecraft with friends only on Xbox / Playstation / Mobile / Switch.
Only Bedrock offers CrossPlay.
Why? What are the advantages?
Bedrock has a lot more bugs than Java and you can play all kinds of servers. But playing together on Java is more difficult. You have to set up a server for this (preferably with the aternos page)
@Skullufel But can you switch from the Java version to the Bedrock? You get some code for it or not?
No, this offer no longer exists since mid-2018.
it allows you to make as many worlds as you like (i have bedrock and java)
