Minecraft 1.13.1 Cloning big buildings in other world?

I would like to copy several buildings from one single player world to another singers world. As I already found out, you can only use MCEdit up to version 1.12. The command / construction block is also out of the question, as it can only copy a small number of blocks. Are there other ways to clone buildings into other 1.13.1 MC worlds?

Set up local server. Install World Edit Plugin. Copy and save building. New world also start on the server. Load buildings and copy them into the world.

The world can then continue to be used normally in the single player.
