I plan to open my own Minecraft server in the survival freebuild area. The server is currently running on Paper 1.16.4 and I have standard plugins such as SetHome, tpa, LuckPerms, LWC etc. On top (15 in total)
Since several players should be able to play on it undisturbed, I would like to add CoreProtect (which logs the set blocks, properties etc.).
The server runs on a Contabo SSD Virtual Private Server with Linux Debian, 200GB SSD storage, 8GB RAM and 4-core CPU.
A total of between 10 and 15 players should be able to play at the beginning and the WorldBorder should be set to 10,000.
My question is: Will the server run properly with LWC (Chest Plugin) and CoreProtect (Block Logger) or will it not work?
How big do you think the world and the log files will be, and is 200GB enough for that?
Yes, 200GB storage space is more than enough for 10-15 players.
The storage space should be enough, I would rather worry about the RAM if you were you…
I also have an 8 GB server with 8 cores without plugins, with 5 players. After a few farms and buildings, Redstone circuits etc. The RAM will run out.
That is 100% enough!
