Is that somehow a bug or something? I recently started a survival world in 1.14.2 and whenever I want to shear sheep I get sheared instead of wool! This is extremely impractical. And no to rule out that: my minecraft is not crawled but was legally downloaded years ago and played regularly until now.

No I scissors them normally with scissors… But they stop up to 6 new scissors instead of wool
Then it's a bug. Simply register again and start the world
Can you use these again? Are you using yourself, do you have the right scissors ID or wool ID? Do you have a texture pack? Do you use mods? What do you get out if you do not shear them but kill them?
