Regenerate world after reinstallation?

Org with my own minecraft server with mods and now I wanted to know if I need to regenerate the world after installing thaumcraft so I can find the ores

Either you are creating a new world, or you are going to areas where you have not been before. There, new areas are created where you can find these ores.
