How much world was pre-generated?

I had a Minecraft world pre-generated. Now I would like to know how many blocks (in each direction except top and bottom) you would have to walk far until you get to the untargeted part.
I set the generator to a radius of 1000 chunks. Generate it a square on map (you can either generate it as a circle or a square).

How many blocks would I need, for example? Go north to get to the bottom of the pre-generated map?

And how far should I go if I go diagonally directly to the corner (for example, to the northwest)?

I just do not know how to calculate this.

fl

Radius 1000 chunks means 1000 times 16 = 16,000 blocks

Th

How long could it take to get there?
The world is for a server. This should waste as little work as possible with generating

sc

A chunk is 16 blocks tall. From the spawnpoint, there are about 16,000 blocks in each direction. You're already running for a few minutes. In flight mode, you are at the border after about 1 minute.

Th

True, I have just calculated. You reach the end in less than an hour.
At least if you run permanently.
Do you know a generator that can make a bigger world?
The best one which I can also run directly on the server (vServer).
Because the file I think would be too big for my upload. I already need for the current world (about 21GB) almost a whole day

fl

According to Minecraft Wiki you can fly at a speed of 10.8 blocks per second. 16,000 by 10.8 are 1481.48 seconds. That's about 25 minutes

fl

You can't fly 16,000 blocks in 60 seconds

Th

Thank you very much.
Do you know maybe a program (best for Linux, vServer, the file would be too big for my upload otherwise, about a day for 21GB upload) with which I can generate larger worlds?

sc

A better generator than the original you probably will not find, if really everything should be compatible or all features of the current patch inside. Pre-generating an even larger world is not really useful now. Tell your friends to slow down while exploring outside the 16,000 blocks and not to run. Sooo slow is the generation of chunks now again not.

Sn

With the WorldBorder plugin you can preload worlds. At that time we completely summoned the radius of 32000 blocks. Was very pleasant for playing, but also took a good week.

fl

No, unfortunately I do not know.

Th

How powerful was the server or do you think it would have gone faster with a more powerful server?
Would wait like that 1, 2 days anyhow if I do not have to leave my PC so long xd

Sn

I can't tell you. It was already a few years ago.

Th

Well, the 1.8 is a pretty old version. There are all the new patches, etc. Yes, not at all.
But I'm more concerned with:
Right now I'm using a mod to pre-generate. This mod I have to run on my PC. I can only use a maximum of 1000 chunks as a radius.
I want more. Generating these 1000 chunk worlds takes a long time. I do not want to start my PC for several days, and the file would be too big for my upload.
That's why I would like to have my vServer generate that. Unfortunately I can't install the game there and use the mod: /

If the vServer generates all this, the waiting time is rather secondary…

So it is enough for me that the world for the 1.8 is generated

Th

Ok, thanks anyway. I'll give it a try
