Today I bought minecraft java on my PC and when I tried it my range was small, kind of 4 blocks or so haha
and I have no idea how I can increase the range can someone help me?
Options → Graphics Settings → Visibility
(Just set the desired number of "chunks" there.)

You can do this with so-called client modifications. In multiplayer these are mostly forbidden and you will be banned for it.
