Lately I've been really enjoying playing Minecraft again. I've always used the 1.12.2 version, but think it's very old and wanted to change. I've never tried the other versions either, but I know there's a lot of new stuff in Minecraft. Now I wanted to ask which version is perfect.
So I think 1.14 is best for normal Minecraft with friends, but otherwise clearly 1.8.9 in Bac or Labymod
So for online servers like GommeHD etc. 1.8.9 is best. Otherwise I'm currently doing a project with a few people because I think it is clearly better to use the latest version.
I like the 1.13 best. LG!

"The best version" does not exist. It just depends on what you want to do.
If you only play survival Vanilla and do not need any mods, we recommend simply playing the latest version as you get most of the content there.
If you prefer to play PvP, the 1.8. * Is the best option, most PvP-heavy servers still run on the version and even if you can play with newer versions there, it works best with the server version.
If you like to play with a lot of mods or complex modpacks, 1.7.10 and 1.12.2 are still available today. 1.16. * Comes there slowly but is not really suitable for it. But that will certainly change in the next few weeks.
Personally, I play 1.12.2 Modpacks, 1.8.9 PvP and 1.13.2 Survival because the server on which I do this is still running on the version, so I'll change it. I also run 1.16.2 privately with friends.
For me it is 1.16
