Can you transfer enchants from one item to another in Mc?
Only with the same objects "iron sword → iron sword" ect, or from books to objects…
Different items are not possible "leather breastplate on iron breastplate" e.g. Also not possible… Must also be the same material…
Do you in the anvil…
I've never seen that. Lol. Is this new? 😅
Nope. Was already in 1.7.10 … And still goes until 1.15.1. Bedrock would have to do the same… This is how you can bring enchants together. "Iron Sword" with "Durability III" and "Iron Sword" with "Sharpness IV" become a sword that contains both enchants. It just has to be the same item… Books always go when the enchantment matches the item. It only gets more expensive with every turn. Costs XP…
Yes, that's clear. But the question was about transferring the enchantment from one item to the other (so that's how I understood it) and not about joining items by a higher 'Enchantment Degree' / having more enchants on one item.
What you just explained is clear. Everyone should know that at the latest when playing Minecraft themselves. I'm not that stupid.
Plugin, mods of course make this possible, so the question for what exactly?
But if you have an iron sword without enchantment, you can transfer the current one with enchantment so that the new one takes over from the old one.
But then that's gone, so actually you just 'put them together'.
Well, we're talking about transferred. It is not what happens to the old one. It is then gone, but the new one has been given the enchants. The question is too imprecise for that. Vlt there's still a detailed explanation ^^
Yes, if you see it like that. Nevertheless, it is rather a combination and not transferred.
