Minecraft chorus fruit?

Just a quick question. Does the chorus fruit have any useful use in Minecraft?

The chorus fruit, as far as I know, has no useful use. You can eat them to be teleported to any coordinates nearby.

In pvp it is almost equivalent to a gap. (Golden Apple). You can port yourself out of traps, away from mobs (creepers), or with a bit of luck behind your opponents and then have the first hit as a tactical advantage. In the event of eating, this completely takes away the fall damage. So very, very useful to have some.
