I recently got the Minecraft Java version and somehow can't handle it. As soon as I get injured, my hunger bar doesn't go down anymore and I can't eat anything that heals me. I'm in survival and normal difficulty! Maybe you can help me?!
I don't know what can help you spontaneously, i.e. Heal your character, but if you set the level of difficulty from "normal" to "peaceful", at least no mobs will appear who want to injure or even kill your character. Apart from that, you only have to be careful with lava, dives in the water and when digging in and especially under sand and gravel.
Perhaps switching to peaceful will also help solve the problem of healing. In any case, it should still be possible to level and collect achievements. The latter in particular is only prevented or ended when cheating or in creative mode.
However, I play the Bedrock edition on both the computer and the mobile phone.
