When I speak in Discord voice chat, Discord mutes all other programs that are running (e.g. Spotify, Minecraft, Chrome etc.) I can't explain how the bug came about because it was suddenly there. Can you fix LG somehow

I don't think it's a bug, it's more of a feature. Many programs make the background noise quieter when you are in voice chat.
To deactivate, have a look under app settings and deactivate "suppress background noise" in voice & video
I guess the damping is active.
