Change minecraft deep?

I play Minecraft on the xbox and we want to change the depth of the flat land because it only goes down 5 blocks and that is not enough to build basements etc. I do not know how I can make it deeper or whether this version (1.14) is still working

On bedrock version you can't make an exact world setting only java
