How many GB does Minecraft Java Edition have or how long does the download take?
Minecraft is not a GB in size, installation takes a little depending on your performance and connection
Just so small? What?! Really… Ok!
For me it's 2 GB lol
J, I mean 500mb. But if you get Optifine directly, the game is even smaller.
And my buddy said 6GB roughly
Liar
So you're 100% sure it's under 1GB
Yes i'm, you have my word
The game itself has 192 MB, the launcher 5 MB and the .minecraft folder with 4 worlds, a texture pack, 8 mods and 4 installations 850 MB.
How fast the download takes depends on the device, but it didn't take long for me
It's up to your pc and your connection spnst, Minecraft is not a big game.
Since I had to download Mineraft for the last time years ago, I checked how it works today.
If I click on "download again" in my account, the Minecraft installer is displayed with a size of 2.6 MB.
I can save this on my PC or have it executed directly.
If the internet connection is slow, it is advisable to download the installer and run it locally.
Unfortunately I can't say how much time the whole thing will take. My root folder is 463MB in size / small and it only contains the installation files.
The Minecraft folder with the resource packs, worlds, screens, etc. Can be several GB. But that's up to you and the standard folders are created with the installation.
Thus, data of 1-3 GB can be correct.
There used to be only one directory, since the launcher change there are two. Once under appdata and under windows / programs x86.
Not relevant to the installation, but it might be useful to know.
