Manipulate Minecraft Dragon Egg Teleportation?

I wanted to ask whether you can determine the position of the dragon egg in Minecraft (no matter which version), so you set a location and click on the dragon egg, which is then teleported to the specific position.

You can fill the area around the dragon egg with blocks (e.g. Water, trap doors, string, …). Then when you click it it will teleport to the only free block.

Well yes, but I really mean nothing has been manipulated. That it is not noticeable because carpets, strings and things look a bit ugly
