Moin, my PC has been crashing in games for some time and restarting. It neither reaches its performance nor the thermal limit. Everything really cool. For example in Minecraft or similar. Then it starts up again. The event log will then contain the following:
An I7 6700k, a 970, 16GB DDR4 RAM and an ASrock mainboard are installed. Also a 750W power supply from Corsair. He is now about 5 years old.
The only thing I can read is "Kernel Error"
Update the chipset driver and all other device drivers
If the problem persists: Run the RAM test
And then you can stress the CPU with Prime95. If he gets out with the same error pattern: CPU probably defective
Since the error message is "Kernel Power", a defective mainboard and / or power supply can also be the problem
It would be important to know WHEN the error occurs, whether under desktop or under full load
Thank you very much first, but there's not Kernel Eroor, but Kernel Power… What I was thinking, is there maybe the possibility that the power supply is hops? There it says in the details "The system was restarted without being properly shut down. This error can occur if the system has stopped responding, has crashed or the power supply was unexpectedly interrupted". Can't you see the picture in full size?
I ran the task manager on the side, it never actually runs over 50% and yet it crashes…
Yes, it was my thought
"Just" attach another power supply. Probably makes the most sense with the error message
I'll do it once I've got one and then get back to you, thank you!
