No, I do not think so. The programming language is just different, which makes Movement and everything different.

The only difference is that Bedrock Edition sucks (but with crossplay) and Java (only for PC) not xD
I'll tell you a few differences:
Java Edition:
-There is a spectator mode
-The ticks are a little higher
-There are more shaders and mods
Bedrock Edition:
- Spruces get white needles when it snows
-Clear inventory
Java is better, but Bedrock doesn't suck either.
Ok then it sucks compared to the Java Edition xD

I recommend Java because it has the whole pvp scene and the better servers. And it's just more fun.
