You should not log in with your Microsoft account, but with the Mojang account that you used to purchase Minecraft Java

You have to set the option You can play with players outside of Xbox Live to Allow and click Submit under the following link:

Do you also have an Xbox account? You broke that because you have to add the game to your Microsoft account there.
