Can I play Minecraft Multiplayer with a Microsoft child account?

I would like to know if I can play Minecraft Multiplayer with my Microsoft children's account. I signed up for Minecraft and it says that I can't play in Multiplayer, it always says that: You can't play Multiplayer due to the data protection guidelines you can change that in the Microsoft account.
