I want to change my MC name to a 3-character name, but it doesn't work?

I just wanted to change my Minecraft name to a 3 character name, but this doesn't work even though the name is displayed as available on NameMC. Does anyone have any idea why?

Hmm, this can have the following reasons:

MC names can only be changed every 30 days
The (new) name you want to take is (still) blocked.
