Minecraft Bedrock or Java? - 2

I switched from console to PC a few weeks ago and played Minecraft on the Ps4 for a long time. I've played the Java Ps4 Edition and the Bedrock Edition, but I didn't know which one I like better. I can buy both on a PC, but what is better?

So which one has more advantages?

Gr

Java. I have no idea what Bedrock is, but I have never needed or used it.

I also play Ps4, i.e. Bedrock, but I think Java is better.

Most mods, maps, skins and texture packs are free. You can do more with commands and Redstone is easier / better.

The garbage version that Microsoft cobbled together… With an in-game shop and significantly less freedom.

Bedrock has a better performance than Java and supports crossplay, so you can play with players on other consoles and you can also use controllers for Bedrock (which is not a real advantage).

Java has better mods, better servers and better texture packs, but runs worse on weak PCs or laptops.

In the end, however, you have to decide for yourself what you like better. Personally, although I play on the PS4, Java is better, but the Bedrock Edition is definitely a very long way from bad.

Gr

Microsoft is really great when it comes to cobbling together rubbish.

Have both. Both have advantages and disadvantages. @ NFSMostWanted23 enumerated it well. However, I would take the Java Edition in your place. Offers more freedom when it comes to mods and so on.

The Bedrock Edition is not a bad game though. I find the CrossPlay particularly worth mentioning. Mods, texture packages, etc. Also available for the Bedrock Edition as a McPack. And the game looks a bit fancier too. In addition, the performance is also much better.

You can also use controllers for Bedrock

On Java you can also use a controller if you have the labymod client
