Whenever I talk to friends on Discord and then want to play Minecraft with them, I don't hear any game sound.

Does anyone know why?

The problem with me is that when I start Minecraft and then change the output device, I no longer hear the game sound. Maybe you have the same problem. Then simply select the desired output device before starting.
