I want to play Minecraft with shaders on my PC. Now I have noticed that it is very lagging with me, so that you can hardly play at all. And I've heard that you need a special graphics card to make it work properly. I have no idea about PC hardware! Can anyone suggest what I need?
What's your budget?
I don't know. I have no idea about that
What is your current configuration? Open the Task Manager and then go to the second tab "Performance"
Important are: CPU, memory and speed, data carrier, GPU
Shaders always have multiple versions. Maybe you have the best version right now. Bad PCs often run into problems.
It is most likely due to memory. Since I assume that you don't know what RAM is for, I'll explain it to you. RAM (= working memory) is the memory that is used in apps. After you close the app, everything comes from RAM to your hard drive.
Since Minecraft needs a lot of RAM, I recommend you get more (https://geizhals.de/g-skill-aegis-dimm-kit-16gb-f4-3200c16d-16gis-a2151626.html). That should be enough. You would have to know beforehand how much RAM, which processor and which graphics card you have. Please answer and write how much money you can spend, what is your processor, your graphics card and your RAM. (If you don't know how to see this, check out a tutorial on Youtube)
