Is the new Xbox series worth it?

I'm considering buying the new xbox series s. I'm more of a casual gamer and will e.g. Play the latest version of minecraft with (if possible) ray tracing. Is there an alternative?

If you're just someone who doesn't play a lot you should think about a cheaper console. But ultimately it's your decision.

In my opinion, you should build or buy a (gaming) PC.
Advantages:

You can always upgrade your PC to play the latest Minecraft version and don't have to buy a newer console.
You can play almost all games with a PC
With a PC you can just clap and play mods and so on
With a PC you can't only gamble like on a console

Disadvantage:

You have to invest more money than necessary, but for that you have the PC longer than an equally powerful or more powerful console.

But if you don't want a PC then buy a PS5 digital. The MSRP is 400 euro which is a real bomb for the performance.

Why PS5 and not Xbox? The Xbox is stronger than the PS5, yes, but the difference is so small that you don't even notice it in the game and Xbox shows off with it so that more people buy it.

The PS5 also has a better game performance because Xbox has optimized the games for their previous (weaker) consoles so that they can run on them. That means that the PS5 plays games much better than the new Xbox.
