Maple Story 2 is inspired by blocks designed by Minecraft.
Could there ever be a free to play MMORPG, which is inspired by No man's Sky?
It would be like this:
Each planet has only one biomome
On many planets you have to solve quests and defeat monsters.
In every solar system there's a space station where you also get quests.
There would be solar systems with certain levels e.g. Level 1-10, 10-20, 20-30 systems, systems for instances, systems for raids, etc.
Yellow Systems = Normal Quests
blue systems = Raid
red systems = instances
green systems = daily quests
Destiny 2 or Warframe
But are your own games.
No Mans Sky blew the hell out of it, no one will take inspiration for that…
If you would like to have such a MMORPG, you have to develop it yourself, or not. I'm currently working on:
Contra X RPG
I do not do MMORPGs, I would be too much work, let the others do it.
Playing is also more fun than developing. Developing games is not for me.
Then there probably will not be No Man's Sky MMORPG. You only focus on successful games and add a touch of peculiarity and creativity. Crazy games are not worth it.
You could make something better out of the floppy one. Right? When a game is flopped, someone else might have better ideas.
Yes, yes. But especially as an unknown indie developer you will probably hardly bother, because the bad reputation itself could be attached to your own game.
There were many successful games. Pac Man, Boulder Dash and Bubble Bobble have also been successful, why is there no MMORPGs?
Because you do not make a MMORPGS out of a 2D platformer and these games are under copyright.
I did not mean to take over directly, just like with Minecraft and Maple Story 2.
You mean to take the principle? I do not know how to make a Pac-Man MMORPG or a Bubble Bobble MMORPG. These games provide no lug for this.
Do you know Maple Story 1? Is not that also a 2D platformer?
