I (m, 8) like to play my power on my mom's computer. I like to play scaiwars, but at the start of a new round I'm caught in a glass tube and can't break anything. So my question is my minecraft broken or defect?

It's always that way. As you get older, you will understand that Minecraft is not the result of standing between glass blocks. During each Skywars round, all players are locked in rooms made of glass blocks and then released after some time. You just have to wait a few seconds. Do not worry.
Dear Fabian, please do the auto correction on your cell phone so that people with my high level understand it too. No joking aside really put it on that makes it much easier for us not 8 year olds to understand
