Whenever I start Minecraft, it loads half a minute, then it crashes.

Ho

What is the error message in the launcher when it crashes? Maybe just restart the launcher or reinstall Minecraft or take a different version.

Ho

Or you have assigned too much RAM to Minecraft, which is why it could crash depending on how much RAM you have and how difficult it is to calculate the version, etc.

Ba

Do you use Windows 10?

Minecraft can also crash due to outdated or incompatible graphics drivers. Simply update your graphics driver to the latest version and, if necessary, install new / suitable graphics drivers

And then you take a look at Minecraft in the settings for installations> the respective profile (for example "Latest development version"> More options> and at the very beginning there's -Xmx2G -XX or something corresponds to half of your RAM on the PC. And so you can see how much RAM you have (example): Settings (Windows + I)> System> Info [at the bottom]> Installed RAM
