Minecraft on tablet and cell phone?

I would like to buy Minecraft on my I phone soon, & 'wanted to ask whether the app will also be downloaded to my I Pad automatically?

My I pad and my I phone have the same I cloud and are connected, so whenever I install something for free on my (i phone) it will automatically be installed on my I pad.

I just wonder if it works the same with buying apps.
