Can one gamble on a Macbook pro?

I currently have a Macbook pro 2017 in the standard edition without touch bar and wanted to ask what kind of games I can play with it. So my Minecraft jerky but I can't explain why that is.

Di

In itself you can do that but the device is not built for it. You will hardly find titles that are even available.

Minecraft is jerky because your CPU is probably just too bad. Which CPU and GPU do you have in there?

So in order to remain objective, Apple products are not suitable for playing or gambling. Apple is not currently installing hardware designed for Gamign performance. Most of all, MacOS, the Apple operating system, does not really have many options for launching games because MacOS can't run .exe files… So the game world for Apple is pretty much limited.

Conclusion: No, you can't gamble with your MacBook. Get a Windows PC for that, it's best to sell even your Mac Book. Apple is not for gamers, but only for video / music producers and business people.

Gu

I'm not the gambler anyway and if I want to, then stop on ps4 or switch. But how long do you think I can use my MacBook when I'm just watching, surfing or writing YouTube?

Ca

Well. The MacOS argument does not draw so much because you can easily install Windows additionally.

li

What do you mean how long you can use it? Of course, until it breaks. If you mean the performance, then actually forever. Surfing, watching YouTube or typing will always be possible with your MacBook.

Factory-produced devices from Apple can't be "manipulated" by a normal user just like that. You can't just install another operating system on an Apple device. 1. As mentioned above, Mac OS can't execute any .exe files, which is why installation via a Windows Installer is not possible. 2. If you come with an Apple device not in the BIOS, at least a normal user is not. This in turn means that you can't select a USB stick with the Windows installation as a boot medium, wehalb also with this method, no Windows installation is possible. This is exactly the case with a Windows CD.

The standard version of the MacBook does not have a proper graphics card. Therefore, most games with 3D graphics schonmal not playable. In addition, the CPUs of MacBooks run under continuous load quickly hot, as Apple is not able to obstruct sufficient cooling systems. Therefore, the CPU has to reduce its performance after a short time, which is especially noticeable in games. However, Minecraft is relatively CPU-heavy, which explains the poor performance. Therefore, you should look for games with 2D graphics.

Ab

The standard version of MacBooks usually only has the iGPU of the processor so there's virtually no GPU performance.

Di

Also the Macbook Pro version?
I can't imagine. The thing costs a lot of coal. Well, I mean, it's just Apple, but I'm expecting so much from them now

Ab

The 13 "MacBook Pros (starting prices of 1500-2250 euro) come standard through the series without dGPU, but then there's a Radeon 555X Pro on the big models (15", from 2700 euro). And even that is rather scrap for gaming.

li

Okay… According to my knowledge, that did not work.

Di

Wow, that's what I call violent rip-off

Ab

Welcome to Apple.

Has been around since 2006.
