Can't redeem an MC voucher?

I got a Microsoft gift card for my birthday and I wanted to use it to buy Minecraft. With the Windows 10 Edition I also have a voucher redemption option but with the Java Edition I somehow have no field where I can redeem the voucher?

You can use a Microsoft card to shop in the Windows 10 Store. This does not work for the Java Edition.
