Can an old PC still play smoothly?

Components (DDR 2 800 MHz graphics card considered upgrading CPU Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 4 cores 4 threads @ 2.3 Ghz) Maybe a quick SSD and so on

Is this a bit of a good gambler PC (Minecraft PC Building Simulator, GTA V & long-distance bus simulator)

Or a multimedia & office computer?

Thanks for the replies:-)

Which graphics card can you put in maximum without an extra power connection

sy

Wouldn't even work for me as an office PC is just old.

It is not worth putting money in there.

Uuuhralt don't invest a piece of garbage for me but that was not an option

In

Extremely old and poor in performance. Maybe with Linux for Office etc. Usable.

Can an old PC still play smoothly?

It always depends What ^^ … "Star Trek Starfleet Acadely" runs from Pentium 90 MHz & "Star Wars Rebel Assault 2" needs even less (Win95 to MS-DOS) … For Windows XP games well usable (also because of drivers & "Copy protection" compatibility), especially with a better used graphics card, if the power supply is enough… Also times clean this box inside (leave it), there are instructions on the WWW…

Meh / Lower Austria! Especially the graphics card nVidea GT120 OEM (= the worst bottleneck) was only for simple office programs back then (you can still use this GT120 to test it, because it uses very little power, even if it is almost worth nothing) - is a PC expanded with a maximum of 4 GB RAM.

Me

Hard to use even for office.

You can forget GTA V or similar.

Even an HP Elite 8200/8300 with Intel i5-2400 / 2500 and 8GB DDR3 RAM for 65 euro has a lot of problems.

The maximum as a GPU is an RX460 or GTX750ti does not really get the HP going. A GTX 1650 could save a little.

Your FSC with Q8200 and DDR2 RAM looks a lot worse.

So, off to the barrel for gaming.

No garbage yet,

but utterly degraded to office use, for which this (reliable) PC was primarily intended from the start anyway (→ graphics card & power supply [a reliable one from Delta Electronics, but only 350 watts without graphics card connection & only a little SATA]).

Power adapter:

Delta Electronics (= good brand!) "DPS 350 AB" = reliable / durable, but only 350 watts, without graphics card connection & only a few SATA.
